Message from President
May the great grace and love of our Lord be with you. Until this morning, I carried a heavy heart, for the position of NNCC President is not a light responsibility. I have spent most of my life as a teacher and professor, and I am now retired from pastoral ministry. Yet, as you know, former President Kwon Seung-il—who faithfully served NNCC with me for the past 12 years—was suddenly called home to the Lord. Because of his passing, I have been called once again out of the nest to serve.
For 12 years I stood alongside President Kwon as Chairman, working for the growth and vision of NNCC. When I realized that the mantle of leadership was once again being placed on my shoulders, I felt the weight of it deeply. But this morning, through the sermon of our chairman, I heard the Word of God: the role of the president is not meant to be a burden, but the wings of a bird. With this encouragement, I now stand before you with excitement, gratitude, and renewed strength.
I thank God for entrusting me with this new task. I express my sincere gratitude to the Love
Nepal board for appointing me to this honorable position, and to the local board of directors,
professors, and staff of NNCC for welcoming me joyfully in accordance with the board’s
resolution.
When I think back to my first lecture in a small rented house in Itahari, I see how greatly God has blessed us. I also remember former President Kwon Seung-il, who loved this school and Nepal more than his own health. With his vision to build a new school in Morang and to “go beyond the region to the world,” he laid a foundation that continues to inspire us today.
Under God’s grace, we have seen progress both domestically and internationally. In Nepal, a
Hindu nation, we have established NNCC as a registered religious foundation (Guti) and
opened MTEP courses across the country to nurture local church leaders. Internationally,
through NCOC courses, we have trained leaders in Dubai, Malaysia, Africa, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Academically, we have advanced B.Th. and M.Div. programs, enabling graduates to serve across Asia, with our curriculum now recognized by the Asia Theological Association (ATA). After 35 years as friends and 12 years as co-workers, President Kwon left all of this ongoing work in my hands.
I will no longer view this calling as a burden. I now recognize that the yoke of the cross brings freedom, joy, and life. I believe that this responsibility is not a weight but the wings God has given me. Though I once thought of myself as weak and unworthy to return to frontline leadership, I now stand here, humbled yet honored, as the President of NNCC.
I will strive not to disappoint your expectations. God Himself is at work, and I will do my part to build a seminary that reaches beyond Nepal to the nations, raising leaders for the Kingdom of God. Drawing from my teaching and pastoral experience, I will work to shape NNCC into a community of faith and learning where biblical, historical, and practical ministry training flourishes.
Therefore, I humbly ask for your prayers, cooperation, love, and support. Together, let us
strengthen NNCC and bless future generations of alumni and students. Once again, I sincerely thank you for your encouragement, your presence, and your prayers—both from near and far.
Thank you

Message from Academic Dean
Ratna Baptist Foundation Nepal (RBFN) was established in 2007 by God’s eternal love and grace. While doing dedicated service to this RBFN team, God helped us to establish Nepal New Covenant College (NNCC) in 2013. The dream is to equip warriors with true leaders like Christ by developing the capacity of Christian servants to expand God’s kingdom. Nepal New Covenant College is being approved as an essential theological institute. It is educating leaders in today’s era. Therefore, the Christian community is participating in delivering the good news of God’s love and Christ’s crucifixion on the cross and victorious rising over death. The college has sent people to serve Christ academically and spiritually, from local to global. Academic quality and spiritual development are the priorities of the college.
